Introduction
Hello! I am Noah, a Natural Sciences year Undergraduate at Cambridge with 3 years experience in mentoring and tutoring GCSE Physics to the highest grades. My recent student-side experience of secondary education allows me to approach problems from the student’s point of view and help them pick apart conceptual misunderstandings. I also appreciate why some students find the subject dry, and use my extensive extra-curricular knowledge to build their understanding around the key course content, affording them greater confidence and conceptual clarity and helping to make the subject engaging.
All lessons are recorded, and I also hold enhanced DBS clearence.
What is Impulse Physics?
Impulse physics is a tuition project that draws on my student-side experience to help students improve their understanding and knowledge base as whole, providing a firm basis and the confidence needed to allow them to succeed in examinations and competitions.

My Experience
I have tutored multiple GCSE level students, up to grades 9-9, both alongside their normal lessons and in the run up to their exams.
I have also worked within my college to support younger students, and jointly led a large scale GCSE mentoring that significantly boosted my cohort’s performance in external examinations.
How I work
I work closely with students prior to any sessions to best understand their situation, goals, existing knowledge and in-school teaching so that any sessions they take with me can best compliment their journey. I offer a free trial lesson prior to any lesson, and will advise any student who I believe needs support that I am not in a position to support as appropriate.
My methods are aimed at students who are already achieving well (on track for a grade 6 or higher), but would like to access the very highest grades. I also am able to support students already at higher grades intending to take the various Physics Olympiads early in order to support a competitive university application.
All tuition is online via Google Meet. I will liaise with any students prior to their first session to establish their tech setup and agree how to distribute materials.
